"over-engineered" to be sure heat will never be a concern.
Even outdoor concerts in the scorching sun will not cause
thermal shut down. The high ratio 6063-T5 aluminum heat sinks
remove heat much like your car radiator. You won't see the
protect light come on  when
it's 110 degrees; and you're cranking the volume. The
multi-speed "boxer" fan quietly cools as the air is rapidly
moving at 115 CFM. Some of our competitors use open frame fans
(bathroom type) which are noisy and less
reliable.

hand-wound custom Toroid transformers. Toroids are the
engineers' choice for reducing magnetic fields and
eliminating potential hum. They also deliver massive amounts
of current for continuous 2 ohm operation-without the weight!
Why carry around a 55 lb 4 space amp when a toroid equipped
Carvin amp will do a beter job.
DISTORTION-FREE LIMITERS
While most amps do
not offer limiters, Carvin offers one of the best. The purpose
of a limiter is to hold down peaks so the amp won't distort
with high inputs. This also protects your speakers. In
addition, a well designed limiter increases the amp's average
output by 3 dB. This allows you to turn the amp up louder
without distortion. Carvin's design uses the more costly
distortion-free linear "opto isolators". Unlike FET controlled
limiters, which can add small amounts of distortion, Carvin
limiters keep your sound pure and uncolored!

Carvin has developed one
of the fastest output stages on the market today with slew rates
exceeding 50v/us. That's double our competition. A higher slew rate
increases the transparency of your sound making it cleaner as the
slew rate is increased. Linear feedback circuits featuring the
Motorola™ bipolar power device reduces distortion to a near
theoretical zero limit. This prevents harshness and extends usable
power even beyond clipping. These amps will handle any nasty load
including 70V transformer distribution systems driving hundreds of
speakers. So, put the other amps out to pasture and step up to a new
level of dynamic power! UNSHAKABLE
RELIABILITY
Every amp is made from heavy 16
gauge steel that is galvanized before being painted to prevent rust.
All internal cabling is neatly harnessed and tied. Every circuit
board is FR4 fire retardant with MIL SPECS featuring double-sided
plated-through holes. Solder not only flows on the top and bottom,
but through each hole preventing components from shaking loose
 causing intermittent problems. Expect continuous
non-stop performance because these amps are protected from heat and
short circuits-that's why they are backed by a 3 year warranty.
Built like a tank, they are designed to take it-even from generators
with unregulated AC power.
 POWER RESERVOIR
For real
low-end kick, the DC power supplies feature up to 40,000 mfd
capacitors to serve as large power reservoirs for added sub woofer
punch! No shortage of dynamic storage here!
MODULAR DESIGN
Carvin brings modular
construction to each 
amplifier. Simply unplug and swap! It's as easy as that. Even
the power supply and Toroid can be swapped in a few minutes.
Everything is internally connected by heavy-duty AMP™ and MOLEX™
connectors. This assures the ease of a modular card replacement in
the unlikely event that servicing should be required.
